Our Year in Review

These pictures are in reverse order. So the most recent are first and the older are last. There will be more to come, but my computer time is about up for today.

Triston is my little fish. He loves to be in the water. This is at the new water park in Rexburg.

Weston loves the water almost as much as Triston!

It's hard to get them to go home when we're done.

My boys also love riding the Carrousel at the park.

This is Triston with his cousins Hunter and Deacon.

This fall we went Huckleberry picking a couple of times. One time with Judd, Sarah and Jared and once with Jessa and Brandon. This is on our way home. We had five very dirty and tired boys by the time we were done.

Jack and I went for a weekend trip to Island Park. It was a lot of fun. This is a picture of the lake we canoed on. A really nice guy let us go on his private lake. It was so pretty and peaceful!

We also went to Mesa Falls. This is the exact same place we took a picture when we were dating.

On our way home from a family camping trip we stopped at Jack's parents house to pick appricots. Weston thought they were really yummy! I made a bunch of Jam with these.

Weston was really tired after a trip to the zoo.

Triston got a bike for his 3rd birthday from his Aunt Jessa and Uncle Brandon. He LOVES to ride his bike.

My boys all sitting eating freezies.

Weston was being my big helper.

This is at my family reunion this summer. It was so fun. The boys got to play in the dirt all day long. I love their dirty faces.

The boys playing in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa Shelley's house.

Triston after a lot of playing at Grandma's house. He was quiet so I went upstairs to check on him and found him like this. I love it.

More to come in our year in review...

July

We had a picnic in the park with Friends and Family for the 4th of July. We all dressed up in our Red White and Blue.
Triston Loved the fireworks and just running and playing in the park with his cousins.

Cute matching brothers.

The mine hosts Family Days every 2 years. This year Jack's Dad, his Brother Judd, and two friends Jared and Wayne were able to come and see where he works. They had a lot of fun.
They are on the deck of a haul truck here.

And standing in front of one of the haul truck tires here.

Triston in his Aligator pool. He loves to go swimming in his "cool" as he calls it.

Beautiful Weston.
I think he's looking at Angels, but that's just me.

Sleeping after a long day!

In his blessing outfit.

When I posted last time I didn't know we had these pictures on Jack's phone. Roger and Sue stopped on their way through town coming back from California and got to see Weston in the hospital.

He's Here!

Weston Jack Riley was born on Thursday June 18th at 2:58 pm. He was 7 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches long.

He has beautiful hair that is dark at the root and blond at the tip. It looks like it was professionally frosted.

Beautiful Boy!

Triston LOVES his baby!

Weston had fluid in his lungs when he was born. They were afraid it would turn to pneumonia so he was started on an IV antibiotic and kept in the nursery to monitor his oxygen. He had to stay there for two days. He couldn't come to our room, so we had to go to the nursery to visit him and feed him my milk through a bottle because his oxygen would drop if he tried too hard to eat. By Sunday he was able to come to our room with his IV in tow. His x-rays and blood tests were good except he was showing signs of an infection, thank heaven it wasn't pneumonia!!! We would have had to go to Primary Children's in Salt Lake if he had. So they continued the antibiotic for 7 days and he had to be at the hospital for it because of the IV. He kept pulling the IV out, so they had to put it in his left arm twice, once in his right and finally, they day before we were to go home, they had to put it in his head because all his other veins were too tired from daily blood draws. So the above picture is our little fighter pilot. That's what we thought he looked like with his little hat made of gauze.

Finally on Thursday the 24th at 9:00 pm we were able to go home!!! And we were so excited!! It was hard to be at the hospital when everyone else was taking home their babies. But our nurses were AWESOME!!! They took such good care of Weston and the rest of us. We are so glad to be home though!!
